Bus Changes in and around Wolverhampton
Sunday 29 January 2012

On Sunday 29 January 2012 there were changes to some bus services in Wolverhampton. Some of the changes were made following requests from passengers and councillors following the bus network review which was implemented in July 2011. Centro worked with National Express West Midlands (NXWM), Wolverhampton City Council and other local bus operators to deliver the changes.

Bus services 2 and 6 now serve Wolverhampton Bus Station and take different routes in Wolverhampton city centre. The changes to bus service 2 is on a trial basis. Service 6 has also changed route in Wobaston, terminating at the reworked turning circle on Patshull Avenue instead of at the Vine Island. Timetables have been slightly amended as a result. You can look at the amended timetables by clicking on the box on the right hand side of this page.

Most bus services now stop at different stands in the bus station and some timetables for other bus services have changed slightly to ensure that bus services that serve similar destinations continue to be grouped together.

And that's not all…

As part of the network review passengers on services 2, 3 and 4 are now benefiting from 29 brand new buses introduced by National Express West Midlands. Centro has also been installing Real Time Information displays at key locations across the City. These give passengers a minute by minute countdown, showing when the next bus will arrive at the stop. New shelters are also being installed across the area.

Where can I find out more?

The Bus changes in and around Wolverhampton leaflet details the Wolverhampton bus stand changes, a map of the bus station, the route changes for all city centre services that have different city centre stops and services that have timetable changes.
