WorkWise offers a new service that focuses on delivering FREE Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) to advisers in Jobcentres and provider organisations on all aspects of customers' travel needs for attending interviews, training and employment.
Provider organisations can benefit by enabling them to maximise performance in assisting their customers into work and Jobcentre Plus can benefit through JSA off-flow by assisting their customers into work and training.
Benefits to your customers are:
Broaden travel horizons in their search for employment
Plan their journeys to interviews, training and work
Arrive on time for interviews, training and work
Stay in new jobs by budgeting for best-value ticket options.
Tailor-made travel packs including: public transport maps, timetables and ticketing guides, local cycling maps, and car sharing information. These can be tailored to your local site and customers' needs.
We can come along at a time convenient to you to provide information, advice and guidance to your advisers to enable them to assist customers in travelling to training, interviews and new employment. This includes advice on planning journeys by public transport, walking, cycling and car-sharing. We will also help advisers identify the best value tickets for customers.
Assist your customers to plan their journeys to interviews or jobs. It's easy - our online journey planner can show your customers exactly where to walk, cycle or get their bus, train or Metro from, and how long it will take to get to their destinations.
Access to bus timetables and route maps outside of the Network West Midlands area can be obtained from the relevant websites. The WorkWise Sustainable Travel team can discuss these with you at the travel awareness sessions.
We can offer discounts on bulk purchases of nNetwork and nNetwork Daytripper cards for bus, train and Metro travel for one day across the Network West Midlands area - ensuring your customers can attend employment interviews.
If your organisation or customers have any concerns or suggestions about public transport, the WorkWise Sustainable Travel team can feed back this information to other departments at Centro and to the local transport operators (e.g. if you have suggestions to improve a local bus service).
