Swift and tickets

You can get tickets from bus, train and tram operators when you travel.

You can also use a Swift card. Swift cards are the smart and flexible way to travel around the West Midlands.

We have all your ticket needs covered. Whether you want to catch the bus, train or tram, for just one day, one month or a year.

Swift cards

Swift cards are flexible. You can use them:

*For use on the train, only N-Network icon A hexagon with the letter 'n' inside of it. network or N-Network icon A hexagon with the letter 'n' inside of it. train tickets can be loaded onto Swift cards.

*Paying for parking using Swift is only available at specific locations.

Swift card types

Swift photocard

A Swift card for adult and student season or Direct Debit tickets for use on bus, train or tram.

Child photocard

A Swift card for child season or Direct Debit tickets.

16-18 photocard

A Swift card for 16 to 18 year olds travelling to school, work or college. You can use it to buy half-price tickets.

Pay as you go

Use Swift pay as you go instead of cash. You can buy bus and tram tickets. You can also pay for parking.

Swift Go

Tap your Swift photocard and make as many journeys as you like in a day or week. We'll cap the cost, so once you hit your cap you can carry on travelling for free!

Multi-day card

Multi-day cards are bundles of discounted N-Network icon A hexagon with the letter 'n' inside of it. Bus tickets. You can share them with other people.

Swift Card

From June 2025, all ticket machines will not print swift cards with a photo.
