West Midlands by bus

An extensive network of greener and great value local bus services

Wherever you’d like to go in the West Midlands the extensive bus network means you can enjoy your journey without having to worry about driving and finding somewhere to park your car.

As partners in the West Midlands Bus Alliance nearly all of the bus companies who operate in the area have invested heavily in brand new buses. Some, like Arriva Sapphire, National Express Platinum and Stagecoach Gold vehicles have free Wi-Fi and USB charging points, as well as comfier seats.

Many services on key routes into our town and city centres operate almost a turn up and go frequency Monday to Saturday daytimes.  Many routes run late into the evening and on Sundays.

Bus travel is great value and it’s easy to pay too!  An increasing number of bus companies accept Contactless bank cards meaning you no longer need the exact fare.  If you are travelling on a bus provided by one of the smaller local operators they may still need you to have either the correct change or travel pass. For regular travellers a travel pass will almost certainly represent the best value.  Use our ticket search to find the best value product for your needs or visit one of several travel centres around the region for face to face advice.
